what is the welcome room?
The Welcome Room is a 501©(3) foundation dedicated to supporting the art of comedy and being a creative force of social good through innovative charitable giving and community building.
We’re building a comedy venue where every show is a charity benefit.
Comedy
We’re building the perfect room for comedy, so we can book the brightest, funniest, most in-demand comedians working today. TWR honors the art, the grit and the power of comedy... and the other stuff.
community
TWR provides a space that connects people through laughter and a shared experience. Where community service is only partially court ordered.
charity
A place where giving back is part of the draw—it's baked in, with every show fueling real charitable work. As a collective, we share a common purpose.

The Welcome WagonThe Welcome Room was founded by a rag-tag outfit of rogues, misfits and ne’er-do-wells, but the heart of the operation is the Welcome Wagon. A group of artists, supporters, donors, volunteers and early adopters that power this ongoing incubator of social good.
Their shared mission is simple: build a nonprofit comedy venue that attracts the funniest comedians in the world, strengthens community ties and channels millions of dollars back into charitable causes. The Welcome Room reflects their values, their ambition and their belief that joy can be a powerful engine for good.
